To be fair, If I was a glory hunter, I wouldn't supporting Manchester United now.

Oh come on. So you should be applauded for sticking by United during their difficult patch of 'only' winning 2 trophies in the last couple of years?!?!

During which time they are still the richest, most supported and biggest club in England, have broke the world record transfer fee, have one of the most renowned managers in world football etc. Must have been tough! Makes you wonder what the Coventry fans have been moaning about ;) .

People who literally change their club every season are not fans or supporters. You are certainly not one of those Matth. But you can't avoid being labelled a glory hunter in the circumstances - like most under 40's Man U fans outside of a reasonable radius of Manchester

You supported Fulham until Roman took over y'chav twat.

You get called a glory hunter, as you are a glory hunter mate. That's not a jibe, it's simply a fact.

When you were a kid and started watching football, you've made a decision as to which team to follow, you picked the one that were winning pots most seasons. Many make the same kind of decision it's how it works.

Years later and you're still a passionate United fan, but it doesn't alter the fact that the reason you originally picked them is because they were winning.
You can't say that Tobes, certain posters on here will be distraught. <laugh>

Does it matter where you come from, I've been called a glory hunter on numerous occasions, I didn't want to derail my Chelsea meltdown thread, I support Manchester United because of the football that we play, It's got nothing to do with size of the club etc.

So now you play **** football, and have been for 4 seasons, you are going to support City??

I don't give a **** mate <laugh>

I come across fans of my club who never go to a game and yet reckon they have the same level of support for the club that I have. Only that's bollocks as I drive over 5,000 miles a season just going to home games, and spend a vast amount of time and plenty of cash doing it. So my personal investment in the club exceeds theirs it's a simple fact. Equally I know lads who go to every away, as well as home games, and their investment in the club is way more than mine.

So you think your more of a proper fan than Matth then? He watches United on match of the day most weeks in his knock off Pogba T-Shirt FFS!! ;)

One man's bigger fan is another man's mug

I can't give up my weekend to do a 400 mile round trip to watch Spurs at home. I prefer to be a better parent than a fan, sad **** that I am. I think my lad will appreciate that more than Danny Rose appreciates a round of applause for being a prick

Well done you lads <applause>

My next game is Hudds v Spurs at Leeds Road

Depends don't it...my team is my team...not my life. A discussion like this which inevitably ends up with people measuring cocks results in some of us getting hard ons. I think it's ****ish for people who go week in week out to suggest they are better fans. The emotional input is just as draining if you don't go.

If someone enjoys putting their finances into the club more than others then that's fine...maybe they can, they certainly choose to....but why do these same fans need to feel better about themselves by slating those that can't go every week for many a reason?

Without a doubt they put more money in...but that's not my doing so I find it difficult to say...yup...so n so is a bigger fan. You support your team and you crack on.

No offence meant Tobes <ok>

It's only the armchairs who spit their dummies out when this gets discussed though.

The emotional input is the same if you travel and put your time and money into it compared to if you don't? travelling home freezing and pissing wet through after a ****e away is the same as slamming your laptop shut and closing a dodgy stream down sat in your boxers? Get a ****ing grip.

There are those that can't, for understandable reasons, and those that don't, never have and never will. It is those that I don't really get and will never accept as being on the same level, fan wise.

They just aren't, sorry. I really don't care what those 'fans' think of that. They have made their choice based on whatever it is, generally that said club wins things, so have to accept whatever they get labelled.

If you wake up one day, pick Man United from your laptop a 100 miles away, buy a shirt and sit in front of an Internet stream with no intention whatsoever of ever getting on a bus or train and taking in a game of the club you profess to support then it's tough **** if you get labelled a plastic.

Exactly <ok>

Yeah I get that....but it's emotionally draining enough for me to suggest that I'm a fan. Wish I could go more but I can't...what if you used to get wet in the rain but now you don't? Are you any less of a fan/supporter just because you can't do that no more?

It's a tough one and I apologise if you feel as though I have had a pop at you, since I know you attend games. No hard feelings Tobes..you certainly make the bigger sacrifice.

You weren't even the type being referred to ffs <laugh>

Not being able to, due to cash, work, family etc, that's perfectly understandable. It's the sort who Chief has so accurately described above that I was on about bud. <ok>

Well I support Spurs...no glory hunting going on here, I grew up around Pool fans and amazingly a tonne of United fans in the 90's..I'm no glory hunter, more of a massochist if anything..just simple logistics are in the way of my attendance record plus yeah not every Saturday can be dedicated to the football procession...got other things on, simple as that..therefore a laptop does the trick, I get to rant and rave and let it all out. I'm perfectly capable of cursing Sissoko using that method
