I Know we are all upset about the loss of Nigel Adkins and we all think Cortese is an idiot but look on the bright side, we have got ourselves a good young manager and a good young team. Nigel will be dearly missed but for the white hanky thing against Everton its not the right thing to do. It will just make us play worse and that will be our down fall and we will be just like Chelsea!
Cortese has only done what he thinks best and if he doesn't think Nigel's the man for the job then so be it. We need to get behind the team more than ever and climb the league and if a 13 year old boy like me is the first to realise that, then I don't know what saints fans have become!!

I agree but be prepared for Godders mate, he is not going to take kindly to all those spelling and grammar errors! And a complete lack of punctuation! :D
 
Is anyone else seriously starting to come round to the idea of having a new manager & his staff at St Mary’s? Like everyone I was stunned to hear the news that Adkins had gone at the end of last week but after careful consideration I’m beginning to think Cortese did the right thing.

If we are serious about progressing to the next level then we need to bring in real quality in every position, management included. I see many on here arguing that we should spend big and get in quality young players but they do not apply the same logic to senior staff. Why not?

As much as I loved watching us under Adkins & admired his persona, I think he and his staff had taken us about as far as they could. Being positive and looking forward can only get you so far.

I think that's what most Saints fans feel. Only the GMI's of this world wouldn't come round to Pochettino and accept he is now the Saints manager.
 
when i said we think cortese is a idiot i dint mean i do i mean some saints fans do and i thought alot more did than i guest
 
I just felt that we already had a top manager who inspires belief and confidence, which is surely half the battle. I have to admit some of his team selections and subs sometimes seemed strange, so let's just hope this new guy is better.

I agree. And Cortese is not any kind of idiot. Hard, yes. Foolish, no.
