Lots about in Atlanta Georgia.

Reckon I’ll last until the end of the first quarter, unless it’s riveting. Hope the Patriots lose, though the Rams don’t really deserve to be there after the bizarre reffing against the Saints.

I’ve bet a fair few quid on the Patriots so will watch as long as I can

Just had to switch off the national anthem schtick, which I find sickening, but I'll watch the first half I reckon.

Patriots for me.

Brady will do the biz as usual, just warming up his shoulder. Without the Cowboys or Chiefs in SB I will always go Patriots/Brady, meaning practically everytime <laugh><cheers>

I like the Bears (I like all Chicago sports teams except the White Sox) and have an interest in the Colts, given the amount of time I spend in Indianapolis. Both building, have a shout next season. I would have much preferred a Saints - Chiefs superb bowl this time.

Why the anti-Patriotism?
The usual dislike of dominant teams. To be fair, unlike Bayern, Real/Barca, City etc in football who dominate for years through money, the way the NFL is set up with salary caps and the draft system it should be a much more level playing field with a churn of winners. The Patriots getting to the final so often and winning it regularly is a testament to the coaching, player selection and pure bloody minded determination.

But mainly because none of my mates in the US are Patriots fans and they all hate them. So, sheep like and desperate to be liked, I follow.

While I really like this sport and am enjoying this, especially the defensive play from both teams, and I know it’s stupid to compare sports, it’s nothing like as much fun as the rugby yesterday.

The rugby yesterday was great. I watched it in the Mason's Arms in Kensal Green, where there was a fair contingent of Irish fans, including two in my company. A dominant performance by England and brilliant tactically by Jones.

Defences on top in the Owl game.

Gonna take a Brady wonder show to win this.......hopefully

Looks to me that Brady has two passing options, Gronkowski who is a monster but a bit knackered, and Edelman who is like an eel on steroids. In theory the defence just needs to keep on top of these blokes but they are genius at finding just enough space to catch the pass. ****ing irritating.

Tom Brady sacrifice so much of what he could earn in salary to keep his team competetive under the salary cap, EVERY YEAR. Best quarterback but only nr 8 in the high earners of QB’s.
In comparison Aaron Rodgers at the Packers earn a stagering $67 mill, while Brady ‘only’ gets $15 million in wages. Now compare that to football and I’d struggle to see the likes of Ronaldo do the same.
