Ref wrong for not playing the advantage. That was a great opportunity taken away by a poor decision.

Let’s not make more out of this than it is. A decent group of players playing inconsistently brilliantly and terribly! All that matters today is not the hype or the performance but the points to keep us in touch.

Morsy with some good captains decisions at the free kick. Brought Donacien out of the attack to give cover at the back. Disagree with Mick Mills' opinion of the decision. We don't want to be getting done on the break now and Burns looks tired and not ready for a foot race on the break.

1-1 is a respectable result.

A great first half followed by a scrappy second. Burns and Aluko were good throughout, the shape was decent except for the lack of cover/width in front of Penney. The back three played well together and looked comfortable most of the time. The two strikers made the Sunderland defenders do some work. Need to find somebody to play next to Morsy and be the one to pull the strings in the middle.

Well done lads, I enjoyed the game <applause>

So at one of our free kicks late on Donacien went into the box and Burns hung back. Morsy pulled Janoi back and pushed Burns in there instead. Mills thought it was wrong, saying he thought we'd better off with Donacien in there. Normally you might say he's right but at that time I could see that Burns did not have enough energy to cover the ground if Sunderland broke quickly. I'd already seen Wes put his hand to his hamstring a bit earlier after stretching for a clearance. Morsy made the right call, we did not want to lose a goal at that moment and I thought it was good in game management from the captain.

Now that the game is over I have some time to explain what happened properly.

Well that should have shown McKenna that in our day we can match the pacesetters in this Division.Let’s hope he can instill a bit of resilience and consistency.

Don't care what anyway says, Penney is our best option at LB at the moment, the only one to play there that has consistently added to the attack on a regular basis.

From the limited amount of time I've seen him so far this season he seems to take up half decent positions but his final ball and some of his passing is awful, I just hope it's a confidence thing but to me he looks no better than Kenlock
