Sam Allardyce has made two changes to his starting XI ahead of today’s game with AFC Bournemouth.

Vito Mannone returns between the sticks as Jordan Pickford takes to the bench, while Fabio Borini is handed a start, following Danny Graham’s departure to Blackburn Rovers.

Skipper John O’Shea and Jermain Defoe both start against the Cherries, a club both Black Cats have played for.

AFC Bournemouth’s starting XI remains unchanged from their home win over Norwich City last week.

Sunderland: Mannone, Jones, van Aanholt, O’Shea ©, Brown, Johnson, Lens, Cattermole, M’Vila, Borini, Defoe.

Subs: Rodwell, N’Doye, Coates, Yedlin, Fletcher, Watmore, Pickford.

On paper we've got a decent attacking line up there with a bit of luck a front three of Lens, Defoe and Borini could cause them all sorts of problems. I'm trying my best to not think about our defence lol

Been looking at the table and if we win today I really believe we will stay up. All based on ifs but if Bournemouth and Norwich lose this weekend then we only need to get 3 points more than Norwich and 4 points more than Bournemouth for the rest of season to stay up. Harder done than said but if we can't do that then we probably deserve to go down!!

Never in doubt so predictable................

Disgraceful first 20 mins. Look at how deep our defence is when we have possession, we can't string 2 passes together and as soon as we loose it Bournemouth are on the edge of our box.
