?? There isn’t. At all. There is no way that simply not supporting them when they do well is passion of any type. It shows a complete lack of passion. You NEVER post when things go well. You NEVER post when we score. That shows zero passion. You sit and wait for something to be negative about. That’s no passion of any description.
No mate, but I knew that was the deal, better than watching it on the minute delayed dodgy stream. I paid for the away games for the same reason. And to be honest I don’t expect a ticket but just be in the draw, which I think is probably the only fair way to do it. I’ll be pissed off if I can’t go but that’s because I love going to the match not because I should jump the queue.
I have to disagree with that. In the same way that some people deal with stress better than others, some people handle the disappointment of losing better than others. It doesn't make them any less passionate, they are just able to handle their emotions better.
Sunderland will play the first leg of their play-off semi-final on either Tuesday, May 18th or Wednesday, May 19th, with the second leg taking place on either Friday, May 21st or Saturday, May 22nd. The Government’s next easing of lockdown regulations is due to take place on May 17th, meaning that supporters should be present for both matches. As it stands, clubs will be able to admit 10,000 supporters or 25 per cent of their ground capacity, whichever is the lower figure. “It can be one of the best things about English football, when the fans are there,” said Johnson, who is hopeful that Charlie Wyke and Aiden McGeady will both be available for the play-offs. “It would be massive if some could be there, even just a proportion, because I am really looking forward to that. We need positivity, support, the players need support, belief, and concentration.” Johnson insists that the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion has now subsided, with Sunderland’s players looking forward to tackling the play-offs. The club has a dreadful play-off record, with the most recent disappointment having come when they lost to Charlton Athletic at Wembley in 2019’s League One final, but Johnson is adamant that it will not be an issue once the action begins later this month. “I’m buzzing,” he said. “I’m disappointed that we haven't got automatic promotion, but from where we were, the number of games, and let's say we finish third or fourth, we've now got ourselves a second bite of the cherry in a mini-competition that I believe we will be well prepared for.”
Why “10000 or 25%” that 10000 rule, in our division (maybe even outside the pl?), only impacts one club!
The government are clueless. Absolutely no harm whatsoever in having all 12,000 season ticket holders there. Then you look at Wembley - Euro games that come before 21st June will have 22,500 there whereas play off finals only got 10,000 there as it stands? It’s a pisstake tbh. It’s elitist to allow 25% capacity for Euro games but maximum of 10,000 for play off finals.
Bought my 'digital' ticket this morning !. check tomorrow to see how many seats left, loads sold already. Could switch the play off final to say Villa park.
I thought the guidelines were “10,000 or 25% of stadium capacity, whichever is the least” Lincoln are apparently allowed 3145, their capacity is less than 10,000
I know they do at Lincoln. Not sure about at ours. Our ground has significantly more space than theirs to be fair
In the Conditions "Always wear your face covering for entry, during the game and exiting stadium. Please ensure it covers both your nose and mouth."
Are we allowed to chant/sing? Wonder if there will be any recognition for KLD, I’ll give him a welcoming applause or whatever
