Yeah, has he scored yet, has he come close off any of his chances??
I forgot a strikers only job is to score. Never mind the chances he creates and spaces he opens up for others.

Quite the opposite! What you watching? Borini will see red if he stays on
There is more to being a striker than scoring. Especially in a Rodgers team.Yeah, has he scored yet, has he come close off any of his chances??
Anyway we shouldn't be bickering about the players ffs - playing well as a team here, same again second half

To suggest he is bad because he hasnt scored or come close to scoring before half time is just silly.
Suarez has missed some rediculous chances in the early parts of the game and gone on to win the match.
Borini does a lot for the team.
Really positive game - I thought our attack would be sh*t but it's been decent (excluding Borini and Gerrard).
Coutinho, Lucas and Markovic have been brilliant.
Suarez scored all the time though. Borini's got one goal in three years at the club.
I don't agree with the viewpoint that strikers should score goals...why does it matter as long as the team is scoring? Borini, right now, is providing space, movement, pressing the defenders and linking up the play with the midfielders and it's enabling Gerrard, Coutinho and Markovic to get forward and be useful. I wouldn't take him unless he's looking like getting another yellow.Yeah, has he scored yet, has he come close off any of his chances??
Early in Rodgers first season people on here regularly said:Suarez scored all the time though. Borini's got one goal in three years at the club.
He's also played about 6% of the minutes Suarez did.

'Suarez is a great player but he is not a natural goal scorer'.
He was missing ridiculous chances.
Of course he eventually got going (mega style), but for the first 5/6 games he could barely hit a bus from a foot away.
Read my previous comment about Suarez, Borini and a run of games. Suarez was awful early on.If Suarez played 6% of the games he played he would still have banked a positive amount of goals or scored 6% of the goals he scored, whatever. Quality shows. Look at Markovic now. He looks a player. Borini has never looked a player in three years at the club.
Borini has been awful, and that's not because he hasn't scored. His touch is absolute garbage.
I'm not fussed about the sitter he missed because I rather he make those runs and get those chances to miss, than not have them at all (which is what happened when we played with Lambert).
