Decent article in the Sunday Sun today written by Mark Douglas, who to be fair is usually spot on when it comes to Newcastle.

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/ne...-thinking-on-transfer-targets-79310-30078907/

I found these couple of paragraphs the most interesting:

And some of the stars put to Newcastle’s hierarchy by busy agents and representatives from cash-strapped clubs have changed their thinking in this window.

So much so that a deal for a domestic-based striker is now being actively talked about – a U-turn on the stated policy that only one defender will be added this month

Who do we reckon the striker could be? If you read on in the article, Pardew says all signings will be under 26 years old, so that rules Pav out. Any thoughts?

The Sunday Sun can also reveal that United have talked about the availability of Blackburn’s Junior Hoilett, although he is not at the top of their hitlist at the moment.
good news for eeryone who still wants Hoilett

also <26 rules out Samba for anyone still thinking about him
