Clarke is a daft lad imo, he has signed for a club for the money and a step up the ladder before and ended up needing a step down to league 1 to start again as a result.

Burnley have signed so many wingers they are either going to get 15 minutes each or some are going to end up bench warmers, who says he wasn't the one sitting on his arse watching for 60-70 minutes each week. Does he want to step into that kind of **** again. Still only 22 ffs he can afford to be patient and his time playing regularly in the premiership will come!

Hearte is a savvy twat though. He's knows if he goes to Burnley, they will still most likely be relegated and thus he will be in line for another move next year and Hearte will get another meaty slice of signing fee

Another thing on Ian ****ing Harte and that briefing to O’Rourke last night is the impact it may have on our recruitment today. Say, for example, you’re Tom Cannon and weighing up a move between us and another club, when you read we’re an unhappy squad and a club that ‘reneges’ on ‘promises’ you’re going to steer a million miles clear of us.

It was just an utterly despicable thing to do, especially with the timing. I know it’s designed to have maximum impact for his client but it shows what regard he and Clarke hold the club in and again comes back to showing zero respect or gratitude for what we’ve done for them.

Even when he said he was happy in that interview he still had to imply that could change as soon bids came in.

Very good point mate. I get the feeling the club have been working hard to get a reputation if being fair to the players and he has just undermined that!

Edit: and that arsehole wouldn't help undermine the ****ing regime up the road would he but jumps at it for us!

Yes. This. Exactly my point.

Its why I would love to see whats going on. Are players / agents really this miserable about Speakman and the club? And I worry that they are.

Which then brings me back to the only players have signed since June are: Bradley Dack - a clear Tony Mowbray signing.

Its very understandable now to see an environment where Speakman seems to be trying to get / alienate players out but struggling to find anybody who wants to come in (seems exagerative but I think its a fair opinion)

There is no gratitude in football. Look at how Speakman is treating players like Gooch and Prichard after their contributions. Booted down the road. Harsh reality.

I don’t think allowing players to look for a new club and being informed they probably won’t get a new deal a year in advance is booting them down the road. I’d argue it’s the opposite.

It’s a shame you can’t fine the player when an agent does this. Breach of club rules. They’d sharp get them under control.

I'm none of those. I'm genuinely intrigued about what is going to unfold tomorrow.

I think a lot of the Internet talk tonight is just speculation and panic fuelled by Southampton's bid for Roberts, helped along by a few ****-stirrers. It's no good worrying about something we have no control over. Just see how the day unfolds tomorrow. Just because we've accepted a bid for Stewart doesn't mean we're going to sell off all of our assets.
Fortunately, our recruitment team are a little more level headed than some of the people who have been thrown into panic mode. Roll on tomorrow.
Well said, exactly how I feel.
