I’m hoping you mean build him up as a player rather than what you were insinuating in your earlier post.

It's a bit of both. They need to build as a player first and foremost. He has something definitely and at 17 he can improve rapidly. But he also came here for minutes and exposure in front of big crowds, make no mistake about that. It's also why they changed his shirt name at the last minute. Won't be the last player to do that like, part of the brand/business side of the game these days.

It's so hard with the young lads. Jobe had a bad couple of games but we've got to continue with him for the season. Only way these kids develop is if a team allows them to make mistakes. It's where you learn.

I may have been mistaken on your earlier post then, I thought the ‘brand Jobe’ reference was implying we’d bought and are playing him for non footballing reasons - just because of who he is.

They absolutely need to build Jobe. One of the reasons he come here. They will use Dack and Jobe. With Rigg being the third option.

I like Prichard more than all of these but it's the decision they have made.

I personally think the club are doing the right thing.

Dack is a 10 that scores goals. Jobe at 17 looks to have way more potential than both Dack and Pritchard. I've liked what I've seen from him so far, and think he will blossom once we find a longer-term solution upfront.

Stewart would be the ideal forward IF he comes back to his previous best. I think his runs will open up spaces for Bellingham to attack. The one thing Jobe need to work on his his finishing.

Hmm

7 months younger

Ok so younger. Cheers for confirming my point. A season's football younger. Players like Prichard one security too, if they are to play up here that's what they want. They have been told no contracts are on offer. So they will move on unfortunately.

Wouldn’t say he had a bad couple of games thought he had some really good moments but he’s young and made some mistakes. As you say the kids need to be allowed to make mistakes that’s why I think we are desperate for a sitting defensive mid sweeping up and allowing the likes of Jobe and Neil to try things and make mistakes. At the minute their mistakes are costing us and if we are not careful the kids will stop trying

Agreed. Get the feeling the Bellingham family are carefully managing the careers of both Job and Jude, in a similar way to Haaland is being managed. Carefully selecting clubs that are a step up from the previous, but where there will be plenty of attention (and opportunity for sponsorship, exposure etc).

I like Pritchard, but your first paragraph gets me more excited, Dacks obviously not a 9, but i thought his movement was good on Saturday especially as thats a player not yet upto speed, I think hes going to be a cracking signing for us as a 10, after initially being disappointed. sure hes going to get us more goals for definite maybe sane level for assists as Pritchard.

At that point something has to give to develop the two you mention & I think given Pritchard cant play 90mins & his injury record unfortunately its him, we will move players on we like both personally (09 will leave, hopefully not for couple years) & ability wise as the club progresses.....but hey spin it, what a feeling moving players on in that respect than paying Rodwell to fxck off & sacking others!!!!.... Uncharted Territory for us this as we cant normally wait to get shot....signs of progress in my mind

Tony Mowbray has conceded that he expects Alex Pritchard to leave the club before the end of the transfer window

"Every footballer understands it is a transient game. I got a testimonial at Middlesbrough, I was there 12 years, but that's very, very, rare in modern-day football. Footballers come, and then they move on, and supporters understand that.

"Alex's situation is a little bit more complicated than I can discuss openly. He's a good football player, but there is a fair percentage [chance] that he will leave the football club in the next few weeks.

"If he doesn't, then we can have more discussions after the window shuts."

Speakman: "Alex, this clause you have for an extension after 100 games............it's not going to happen so you can either sit in the reserves all season, or agree to waive the clause and play most weeks....... Over to you shorty...."
