The Pom Pom squad needs to stand down. I've grown weary of references to Graham and Grigg, the Model, the data, valuation, and KLD's resources and connections.

After dropping out of college and washing out of a football academy, a 21-year-old kid asks his mommy if he can buy Sunderland AFC. Margarita thinks that's a great idea because her son needs a hobby since he has acquired no employable job skills. But do it quickly, she warns, because I am about to mortgage the company to borrow $1 billion from Credit Suisse to buy out minority family shareholders.

Credit Suisse collapsed in March of this year.

I suspect Elaine from Seinfeld is the only member of the Lewis Dreyfus family with significant liquidity.

It is no coincidence we have an underqualified director of football whose only prior experience in football was involvement at varying levels of some other clubs' youth academy.

Mobray had the squad playing like a band of brothers last season, overachieving despite the model.

The over-adulation from the deluded segment of the fan base has stoked Kristjaan Mediocre's ego to the point that he has unsettled and unbalanced the club.

I’m all for individual opinions but what an odd post.

KLD is the best owner we’ve had in a long time, just look at the progress both on and off the pitch since he arrived. Nobody is perfect and I’m sure his mams business dealings have absolutely nothing to do with his wealth which was held in a trust I believe.

The grass isn’t always greener…in fact as we’ve seen it’s quite often brown and covered in dog ****.

I see the words mate but to me it’s just a regurgitation of your negative agenda. Go back to the Newcastle forum there’s a good lad

For all my irritation at our lack of urgency over key players, I’m far from dissatisfied with our overall position. Our plan may need less rigidity but to even have one is a joy and to have one that makes us an attractive place to play for emerging football talent is even better.

Exactly this. A plan you say? Well I never.

Fair play. Lot of uncomfortable truths here

Hahahaha my first addition to the mute list
Hes been on mine for a while now, only every posts negative stuff

The club is in a great place thanks to KLD, we have a plan n hes invested a lot into the club - in all areas. Yes we need to improve our off the field stuff n we know theres still work to be done in this transfer window but we are going in the right direction

Hes the type of person that would moan about any owner we had

With all respect mate, the off the field stuff is a poorly ran, underfunded shambles. The stadium needs work, repairs and a bloody good clean as an absolute minimum.

On the field and improvements to the academy I fully agree, but to really have sustainability off the field needs huge improvement and that will involve cash that the owner doesn't seem keen to spend.

Speculative plans about extending the east stand, which may or may not ever become more than that doesn't improve basic customer service levels

When i say a great place i was refering to the on field stuff n the academy - apologies i should have made it clear

I agree the off field stuff has been very poor, think thats why the MLS guy has come in so hopefully see improvement in that side soon

It says Dreyfus borrowed money to buy out a stake in their own company, some wise person one said something like the really rich never use their own money to buy things if they can help it. They constantly just move money around and this activity isn’t unusual at all.
I assumed the mega rich had the money all in various banks etc. You would need a big room if it was all in cash bags and envelopes

Why cite a 20 month old article which says the square root of **** all. Why don’t you do something more useful and share the latest annual accounts/report on LDC. It would be helpful to see their business strategy, data on revenue/profit, overall leverage/debt, and shareholdings. We’ll then get some idea if LDC is strapped for cash, which you appear to be insinuating.
