On Hemir - I’m not sure he needs to score 20 goals in his first season to prove he’s decent mind, only 3 players managed more than that last season. Gyokores hit 17 in 2022 and everyone was banging on about how good he is yet the likes of Solanke, Weimann and Aherne-Grant amongst others outscored him.
We picked up 6 penalties last season so if we see similar numbers this year and he’s our taker that’s a good start. I think if we start playing to his strengths and he gets an early goal it’ll give him some much needed confidence. I just hope he’s given a good crack and doesn’t get dropped if he has a few quiet games.

had a look at the recent training pictures and did not notice him or LND but embo and evans were there (obviously those three will be at different stages on the road to returning).

I'd be really surprised if Hemir doesn't start, because Mowbray said in midweek he didnt want to risk our only striker. Of course I think part of that was a message to the recruitment team. But I also believe he plans on playing Hemir.
I have no idea why he wouldn't either. Goals in pre-season and then one nervous 60 minute performance doesn't and should't change his perspective.
Dropping him and playing NO striker would be so harmful for his confidence.
I do think people are exaggerating how bad he looked at the weekend tbh. And he was nervous. Think he might surprise a lot of people still, even if I agree he looks raw.

Wonder if hemir might be best coming off the bench tomorrow, start jobe n pritchard as a rotational front 2 then when the game is opening up then bring on hemir

They absolutely have, and then some.
I desperately hope the poor lad doesn't read our fans' social media or, if he does, that he's got a very thick skin.
