I think you will note I have already said I have nothing against it nor did I say we weren’t taking to anyone else. I think the word prioritise sticks out in my post.

I'm sure our search for a forward will not be put on the back burner mate, while we target other positions. Cannon seems the likely one going off rumours

Yes, especially one that can play both sides. Hume is quality, Huggins can’t be relied upon and i think the club see him as a left back as did Leeds, Gooch is OK but would like to see him upgraded, then on the otherside we have Cirkin and Alese who both missed a lot of games last season.

But like i said, if this deal has happened quicker than another it does not mean it was the priority. If there is an opportunity to upgrade the squad you take it you don’t wait around to get a different deal done

:emoticon-0102-bigsm So,we have Hume,Huggins,Gooch,Cirkin and Alese (injury,I know)...to cover 2 full back positions,together with O9,who has played in both.
How big do you want the squad to be,ffs.

2 months out is hardly a knock mind.
What I was kind of getting at with my original post, and Confucius has alluded to aswell is if this to be believed then our next signing is going to be another defender, of which we are covered quite well, will command a fee etc. And we're probably starting the season with one striker.
We'll end up with a squad of about 40, with only one available striker!
