Surprised the experienced midfielder that was being mentioned is an attacking one rather than a defensive midfielder, not fussed either way on dack he’s good when fit so happy to see how it plays out but if it’s a toss up between him and pritch id take pritch all day long
Yeah I would take pritchard
If we want to improve get in better players

Dack has been ongoing for a while. Not being an arse, and I am no expert, but it has been something on the cards for a while. I always thought this would happen Mowbray and Venus massive fans, and the love is both ways. Wages at Blackburn a lot I think, but he has been on the freebie list for a few weeks now so maybe we get him in our bracket.

I predict people will love him. He has a real quality in the box, natural finisher and finds positions like a 9. But will play a 10 in open play. Honestly would be delighted to see him here, and we can be 100% mowbray will get him playing like a proper player again. Fingers crossed it isnt just lazy journalism.

With respect that description wasn’t last season Dack. He was laboured.

One of the lads I coach with is a Blackburn Rovers fan. He reckons last season he was fit for the first time in 2 or 3 seasons due to injury. He wasnt convinced the new style of play suited him and he suffered. This lad says under Mowbray he was a brilliant player. Time will tell, but I would be hopeful a player like him makes a contribution in a lot of ways. I dont want Rigg blocked, but Dack might be a good foil. Mowbray will know better than any of us whether he is worth signing or not

And Ba. I dont think Dack brings any positives to our squad as it currently stands.

I don’t mind Rigg just breaking through this year and having someone ahead of him and some cameos- he’s a kid - but we do also have Ba and Bellingham.
My lasses family are big Blackburn fans, one runs a bar in Darwen. The view is - loved him before his legs went. They’re not football people so that view might be too simple but they do watch the games.

Prior to injury his all action pressing style would be a no brainer. But I'd be really worried about his injuries.
Like Evans an asset on his day but would we get many days out of him. we were dogged with players on the treatment table last season.
I think he's a good payer but a massive gamble.

Im always hopefully but at the min i just dont see dack improving us as a team. Never looked the same player since his injury. If he can get anywhere close to the form of 4 yrs a go we will have a goalscoring midfielder on our hands

We will need to sell Pritchard if dack does sign as dont want too many older players in the same position blocking the likes of Ba Rigg n bellingham (i know hes likely to play deeper this season than the no10 role)

1 thing i have heard about dack is hes meant to be a great teammate and very popular in the changing room

If you are saying he’s been deeper, do you see this feeding into us not playing an out and out 10 this season? Appears to be the way in pre season

If we sign dack we will play 4231 at times as imo he can only play as a no10

I wouldnt be surprised if we go 433 at times tho as that suits bellingham n rigg more imo

To me it depends what happens next formation wise. If we keep Stewart, Hemir starts scoring, we sign another goal scorer we can firm up with a 4 3 3 and concede less. As it stands we need the extra forward.

He is an exceptional pro mate. Brilliant around younger players by all accounts.
