Really exciting times at the minute.
I genuinely think that we are only 2-3 players away from a very exciting squad (if none of our star players leave of course - that’s more of a hope than anything).
People go on like the league is very tough this year, but it’s always tough. I don’t see much difference between last season and this season; and we did really well last season despite a ridiculous amount of injuries.
You look at the players who are looking good in pre-season and you can’t help feel a bit excited. Semedo, Ba, Lihadji, Rigg & Ekwah have really impressed me so far. Then you look at the likes of Huggins who may as well be a new signing - he’s started well. Let’s not forget the majority of those listed barely had anything to do with our surge towards the play offs, it’s only really Diallo we’re missing.
Honestly, we’re in such a good place on the pitch as it stands and I’m absolutely buzzing for the season to start.

I bet Leicester could pay £25-30m for Diallo but we can't of course, they are raking the money in. we can nearly play 2 different teams with our squad, really exited with next season, so 45,000 for the Crewe league cup game please !
He's returning to his hometown club, Rangers had been chasing him since January. Wonder if things aren't that rosey with the Glasgow club?
They wont pay anything like that for players.. The debt they have now with the is what cause Brenda problems last season before he was fired. Isn't there a new or massive extension to the ground going on to be paid for first?

Diallo isn’t going anywhere on a permanent and nobody in the championship will be paying £30m lol. But they can pay a loan fee and they’re favourites for the league. Still don’t see him getting loaned to the championship to be honest.

Dont think we have the budget for marquee signings
I think we have money for big signings if needed even given FFP but to be fair to the recruitment team it looks like we don't really need to spend just for the sake of it, if somebody does become available and is the right fit at the right time then I am fairly sure they will buy them but the days of spending just to keep the fan base happy are gone and I think I prefer the way we are going about our business at the moment. If we buy marquee players they come with marquee wages and that has a knock on effect through the whole team. I think we save our money keep the team and balance sheet healthy for when we are promoted and then add to our exciting team wisely and with thought until we are winning the champions league in 5 years time. 
I agree...but I still think KLD has intentions and expectations this term.
My feelings are that either this window, or January, he will pull a rabbit from his hat.
