Took me a while to figure who that was!
I like Simms (mainly for his goal record) and under past owners he'd have felt like a gem we couldn't afford to miss out on but we're scouting players in Portugal, Costa Rica and Australia, if we weren't in for him it's because we've got better options lined up.
Do people think its possible that we may be willing to sell Clarke, and maybe reinvest that money in that lad from Chile (Avareno or similar ) that we were linked with earlier in the window. Believe he is a right footed left winger too. Can't remember his name, and haven't heard him discussed in ages. Apparently there were quite a few teams interested .... just a thought

Thats the one. I liked the look of him, and I believe his cost was going to be about 5m. Couldn't see him coming, if it was as back up, but as first choice he may do. Probably less sell on fee when we sell him for a profit in the future, than a Levy percentage for Clarke.
Strangest feeling this window I think I’d be disappointed to see any of this squad go, such a likeable and talented bunch but we have to be fair to the likes of matete if we can’t offer him game time
To be fair it was a pic of him from behind going into costa, could be anywhere in the country
My worry about this transfer window is that we lose a few of our key players and we start the next season with an untried and exceptionally inexperienced group. That said, I do trust the recruitment team, they have a knack of picking the odd gem. Just hope we don't lose too many, but I fear 3 will leave

I think we should be given him a chance to prove his fitness over preseason as he does look a talent then we can decide at end of the window whether to keep or not
Yeah im the same mate, which is a sign of what all these players have done for the club
I just think theres a few players not good enough or consistent enough to help us kick on
