100% this. In a midfield 2 he doesnt have the awareness for me. I think he is a hell of a good centre back personally. Up to these new lads to get ahead of him.

I don’t think he has great awareness as CB either. He’s definitely better with the game infront of him but he still gets caught out fairly often. Brilliant at pinging the ball about, flying into a tackle heart on the shoulder stuff etc but simple balls into the box and balls in behind he struggles with. I remember the 4-4 game with Hull, every time they went forward he was backpedaling and had no idea where to put himself.

You go for an afternoon siesta and you come back to 12 pages of transfer news about new players....are we really supporting the same club we were 5 years ago...mind boggling.
Mental isn’t it, who’d have thought in 3 years we’d be here after that covid season transfer window - Danny Graham and Grigg up top to this

09...

i still think he would be a good DM...can get a good tackle in, wins plenty of headers for his size, knows how to use his strength, has back up behind him, can pick a good pass and does not need to be racing back to catch up which seems to be his worst time for fouls.

the lad loves it here and the fans love him, does a lot behind the scenes that most will never know about, always has that 'light-hearted' approach and that smile on his face...the type of bloke if he was the only player to turn up for a game and got beat 100-0 he would still blame himself and not the rest that failed to show.

probably one of the first 'really want to be there' players of the recent era, can cover a few positions and if you take out that shoulder problem, i can't think of a real injury problem, there has to be room for him.

So about the cb, my mate said hes a very promising youngster who he thinks is perfect for the British game. Says he is aggressive really strong n has the height to play well in england.

Says he should be a really good signing for us
So you’re saying he’s better than Joel Lynch?

Know nowt about Seelt but its the kind of profile lad you expect us to go for these days. We do our background work and pick up these lads we think are a good fit for us to develop.

All for it. As well as the succession planning for when we do move lads on.

Amad, Simms and Hendo and its all aboard HMS Piss the League.

I think we are going to anyway I really do. We've addressed our weakness last season very early in window couple of loans of quality and I believe we are going to storm it anyways. Our fully fit squad last season would have took us up. Even better equipped this season watch us go.
