I was equally impressed with his left foot finish. Seems like he can score all types of goals.
Scary thing is he probably doesn't know how to use his size and strength yet.

This isn't true. The reason it failed is because UEFA threatened to kick all teams involved out of the champions league with immediate effect. Chelsea were in the semis at that point and almost immediately pulled out of the Super League. Everyone lauded them as being morally upstanding but it was obvious as **** to me (and noone else apparently) why they'd done it. Man City who were also still in the Champions League were the next to pull out, and then the whole house of cards collapsed.
I 100% guarantee you that if Chelsea / City weren't still in the Champs League at that point, they would not have pulled out and the Super League may even have gone ahead at the end of that season.
I think another thing they didn't think about is the fact that the local fans of these big clubs would be against it and what they could do about it.
Iirc at the time one if the chairman of these was said to have arrogantly said "let the fans be unhappy we don't need them anyway" or worse to that effect.
They were all thinking yeah we might lose some season ticket holders but we don't need their money. What they didn't realise is its hard to play a match when 30-60 thousand fans who used to be in the stadium to watch the match suddenly have a couple hours on their hands and can just stand outside the stadium blocking the team buses etc... getting in!
