If the club have anything about them, if and when we sign him, I truly hope there's a video, full rock band singing

"We've just signed Luis Semedo"
"The Stadium of light is now his new home"
"All he wants are crosses in the box"
"onto his dome"

Sing that to yourselves to We don't need another hero.

No disrespect to the kid, but we're THE team to be at for youth to get a chance, if whomever is his representative, they have a very short sighted approach.Good look to him thought.
Probably just delayed his first team chances of playing he will probably be there till he's 23/24 after numerous loans before moving to a L1 club on a permanent may get to the Premier league by the time he's 28.
Surely he just needed to look at the progress pickford and patterson have made and realised how being at the right club at the right stage in your development is key to your career, I know he's just a young lad but Surely his parents can see this or is there a bigger incentive for them if he moves

spot on

I honestly feel like Maja will return for some reason

Free
Under 25
Good record in Ligue 2

Our kinda signing

Personally I think that's an uninspiring one if true. He's had two loans at championship and Premier league level with Stoke and Fulham and didn't set the world alight in either. 4 goals in 30 league appearances in total for both clubs doesn't strike me as especially potent and his previous goal scoring record in ligue 1 wasn't great either. I know he's still young and we can probably coach him better as well as create more chances for him, but to me it doesn't feel a good move for us. If we're looking to coach and develop, a younger player maybe better and if we want a reliable primary choice to go alongside or replace Stewart I'm not convinced it's him.

I have to be honest and say that I've not seen enough of him play recently to judge how he's come on as a player and there maybe much more to his game now than when he broke into the team, but those raw stats and what I saw of those loans don't convince me. I may be wrong and if I am I'll back the clubs judgement on it, but I feel we'd be better off looking elsewhere.

On the flip side if he comes and scores goals will he be wanting to be off again like last time. Grass is always greener right? I’m with you…doesn’t feel like a good move.

Means nowt though, does it? When you've got the unlimited funds cheat code. You're not really building anything worthwhile. There's no triumph of organisation or strategy, no shrewd team building. You're just brute forcing it. It's empty. Hollow. Pointless.

Then all the day trippers, tourists, glory hunters and out of towners turn up and price the locals out.

To be fair, every single thing you've said here applies to pretty much every single team who has won the Prem ever since it began, the sole exception being Leicester (and look where they are now). It's just how football works.

Ask the thousands of Man City fans who've just had the best weekend of their entire lives if it felt "pointless" to them?

Ive watched a few times since hes been in France and ive not been impressed by him. I dont think he's developed at all.

I wouldnt be against us bringing him back as i feel our coaching team would improve him but i dont feel he has much upside

I think there will be better out there and there'll def be players with higher upsides that we are looking at

Doesn't make sense tongontoneither of those clubs, as I mentioned the other day when was the last time they didn't go out and spend big on a keeper?

But of the two Chelsea is an absolutely ridiculous move, their business model for years has been to snap up all the young talent they can across Europe loan 30 odd out a season getting loan fees hope they do enough to sell them on for a profit and repeat!

They've already changed. When they beat us to win the league cup it was a shrug of the shoulders and on to the next one and that was the best part of a decade ago.

It'll be even more pointless if they end up having the titles taken off them.
