Work permits and international clearance are two different things. Pretty sure the club announced Triantis had signed subject to IC

Just spotted this on Sky Sports News, explains how we can sign these players

FA announces new transfer visa rules
Premier League clubs can sign up to four players who fail to meet the Home Office's requirements for visas, in new rules announced by the FA.

The old rules saw Premier League teams unable to sign any players who failed to meet the Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) points threshold.

That points total was based on the senior and youth international appearances for the incoming player, the quality of the selling club and the standard of league they come from, as well as the number of career minutes.

Failure to meet that threshold meant the UK Government would block the transfer.

However, new rules have said that Premier League clubs can sign up to four players who fail to meet the standard. Championship clubs will also be allowed four players, while League Oneand League Two clubs get two of these signings.

Unfortunately this is their market now.

Means nowt though, does it? When you've got the unlimited funds cheat code. You're not really building anything worthwhile. There's no triumph of organisation or strategy, no shrewd team building. You're just brute forcing it. It's empty. Hollow. Pointless.

Then all the day trippers, tourists, glory hunters and out of towners turn up and price the locals out.

What does it mean in practice mate?
It is a bit like a gold standard accreditation. Old kite mark type of thing.

Essentially it means our academy, the staff, facilities and all round environment for youth development is ranked the highest it possibly can be. On a par with the likes of Man City, Arsenal etc. It means in terms of inveatment in youth football we are at the top end. Importantly the likes of Man City cant just take ours as we are on a par. You have to invest a min amount to be Cat 1, so we can be assured KLD is funding this crucial part of our club.

More than anything, it is a selling point for any parent, scout, coach who has a player they believe in. A cat 1 academy player is more likely to make it because of the standards. The beauty of us is we promote players from it now. Patterson, Neil, Embleton, Rigg - these players are poster boys for a club that is known to turn players into top professionals. I dare say in our model the academy is the crown jewel. Bottom line, we will get more youngsters into the first team than would otherwise be the case.

So. How's our squad looking right now?

GK: Patterson, Bass, Richardson
RB: Hume, Gooch, Huggins
CB: Ballard, Wright, Triantis
CB: Batth, O'Nien, Anderson
LB: Cirkin, Alese
CM: Evans, Ekwah, Matete
CM: Neil, Bellingham, Ba
RW: Roberts, Dajaku, Lihadji
AM: Pritchard, Embleton, Rigg
LW: Clarke, Benette
CF: Stewart

Short up front of course, and you could argue we need an experienced head in midfield with Evans out until the new year.

it's a hell of a start given it's only 14th June

A lot of goals to replace from last year. Still think the biggest signings are to come

Id like a better backup keeper for Patterson, and more firepower goes without saying

Losing Clarke would be a massive blow on top of Amad but if the right bid comes in, then so be it.
With £20m in our back pocket, we can buy more goals
Huge. Having a winger who contributes that much is priceless, just hope we can get another Amad

Nicked off rtg. Squad as it stands.

GKs:
Patterson Bass

Defenders:
Hume Huggins Batth Ballard Alese Anderson Terantis O'9 Cirkin Gooch Wright

Midfielders:
Ekwah Neil Matete Evans Bellingham

Attacking Midfielders:
Roberts Pritchard Ba Embleton Clarke Lihadji Bennette Dajaku

Forwards:
Stewart

Obviously we need more strikers but that's a big squad already. Don't need loads more signings, just needs tweaking here and there for when players leave/ go out on loan.
