Out of curiosity just checked how many goals our ' back four' contributed last season in all comps and it totals 12.
Cirkin leads the way with 5, 09 3, Hume 2 and 1 each from Gooch and Alesay.
Neither of our preferred CHs, Batth and Ballard got on the scoresheet and I think we should be doing better, a marked improvement next season would be a big help.
Hit the woodwork a few times. In fairness for a substantial period of the season our set pieces weren’t the kind centre halves might benefit from but considering how good both are aerially you’d expect them to bag a few at least.
Hopefully Ekwah and Neil will chip in with a few. We need Amad to also produce his goal scoring form from last season
I'd absolutely 100% have Simms back. 7 in 17 here with an injury in between that. He'd bag 15 or so over a full season like.
Agree we need to be doing better, but we failed to score from a corner for the first 20 odd games! I think until the cup against Fulham. And that was more down to the corner taker than the people attacking the ball.
At 1 point I think he was the highest scoring player in the country aged 21 or under
Majority of our corners have been woeful this season mind, hopefully something we can work on pre-season.
In no way saying this isn’t true but surely we’re only going to loan players who are nailed on to start? Unless we play a back 3 I don’t see Doyle starting
