Do we actually know if he has been? Romano tweeted 2-3 weeks ago that he was due a medical last week, but we had no confirmation of that happening.
Other outlets have jumped on it because Romano is almost always right, but he’s been silent on it, and is unlikely to now “report” he was wrong.
We are learning pretty quickly that in the race for “news” on twitter, more and more outlets are reporting what others are saying rather than backing it up with their own sources.
And FWIW - whilst I have no reason to believe the Daily Mail - they’re the first outlet to report anything new on the story for 2-3 weeks. And it’s a very specific thing to report, so I’m inclined to believe it.

So if we believe this, we also need to believe that we haven’t got a deal agreed for Jobe Bellingham.
