Didn't the new trade treaty come into effect earlier this week between us and Australia/New Zealand covering work permits?

Actually a very good point, with his age he could apply for a Youth Mobility Scheme Visa from Australia allowing however...

You cannot:

  • work as a professional sportsperson (for example as a coach)
  • extend your stay
  • get public funds
  • bring in family members on your application - they must apply separately

Seems a lot quicker than previous seasons for us to get the transfer ball rolling.

Also, we are not swaying from the youth policy and not getting tempted to bring more experience in.

More physicality - three strongly rumoured signings and they are all 6’ 2” plus. Decent pace as well, I bet.

Our recruitment strategy will be the envy of many clubs

I definitely think I'm going to give up second guessing this recruitment team.

Just saw on twitter somebdy asking if we'd take Dack now he's released from Blackburn. Personally, I wouldn't. But if Mowbray and Speakman think he's a good addition then I back them 100%

Good read that. Sounds like exactly the kind of player we are all over.

Sounds silly but I like the idea of having an Aussie around the group as well. It's stereotypical of me, but their determination and will and drive as a culture has to be a good thing in a dressing room.
Comparisons to John Stones. He'll do for me.

I know what you mean it does sound daft to generalise like that but I agree with you. They do tend to be very positive characters in my experience and this lad doesn't sound any different.

Wow, yes please.

AW: Think a young John Stones. He’s a big, strong lad with very very tidy feet. He’s totally uncompromising in the tackle, ridiculously confident and he shirks from nobody - including much more experienced players.

His passing range is incredible and he has a calmness bringing the ball out of defence that just shouldn’t be allowed in a bloke that age.

Now, as I’ve said, he’s young - so he will make mistakes and he isn’t the finished article.

I think he could work a little on his positioning and he definitely still has lots to learn, but his potential is off the charts.

Are we sure this quote isnt from the 1960s and someone commenting on a young Franz Beckenbauer??
