Years ago that thought would never have crossed my mind, but after last season and the direction the club is heading, totally agree (could be my latter years effecting though)I actually prefer it in the Championship

He did well for us this season, but I think we've moved on to another level.
Personally I’d be going for upgraded level versions of our current model so spend more on better quality but less on numbers. A handful of quality players in the right places and we’re there. Simms has goals but poor overall play. Good sub, bad starter. Go better I reckon.
My view is he's got the goals and that's the most important thing and we can improve the rest of his game. He's only a young lad.
As I said on a previous thread I believe we will be play offs as minimum. Look at this season away form alone got us top 6 without a striker. Fully fit squad, sort our home form, exciting and successful window we will be top 2.
It's going to be a test of the recruitment team.
They usually manage to get players I know nowt of and most have been very good, but forwards are the hardest to get right.

Was never going to be coming to the championship lol, he’s already won it and made a fair few appearances for Liverpool this season.

Would love it if Hendo came back but he might want another year or two in the Prem. Sanderson would be a decent signing. Simms too, but as third choice / cover. Need better starting week in week out imo.
It’s a shame there doesn’t look like we have any strikers in our u23’s looking on the verge of a breakthrough at the moment, would be good to see one of those lads down as third choice and even breaking in the team
Id love to have him, Batth and Ballard in a back 3 next season.

It would give us a good plan B but to get the best of roberts n clarke i think we will stick with a 4231 formation.
Id like sanderson as well, be good in a 3 and i think in a 2 he would be good alongside either one of ballard baath or onien

Or the young lad from Notts County looks the real deal, however his name escapes me.
I know his dad, hes from my home town Stockton.
I think it would be a risk signing someone from League 2 though tbf. Id rather Clarke-Harris from Peterborough
