Was referring to injuries etc. same outcome we are short in those positions until the next window.
Just feeling utterly pessimistic at the moment, it’s been relatively quiet all summer barring the Burnley bids for Clarke and all of a sudden we are looking like losing too many players to our rivals for top 6 places.
Don’t disagree totally bud, but let’s not over dramatise. We’ve agreed to sell a player who won’t be ready til October, and has only played 13 games at this level, for an eight figure sum, and we don’t know until 11pm tomorrow if we’ve spent any on a replacement. We’ve rejected a bid for another injured player, who I agree has shedloads of skill. He hasn’t gone yet and may not, but if he does we’ll obviously get a decent fee, and won’t know til 11pm tomorrow if we’ve got a replacement. We look like we’ve sold our utility man, gooch, for £1m a player who will only be on the bench this year. And we’ve bought a striker btw apparently.
So in short don’t panic until we see the whole picture and squad.

Looking unlikely but they’ve still got tomorrow. If the window closes and we’ve only managed Rusyn then I do think it’s the right time for criticism. Yes we’ve brought in money but not within a timely manner of being reinvested. We will see.

Canny downbeat like. Could do with some incoming transfer news as it's beginning to look like a firesale.
Firesale? Haway mate. Stewart is a hell of a deal for us. Gooch has been rumoured for a while and I never thought a fee would be involved. Roberts is a surprise, but we have turned it down. I reckon Pritch will leave as well but that is progress, we have to get Rigg playing somewhere. Looks to me like many of these things have been in the making for a while, lets see what we spend before worrying.

Dont take this the wrong way lads, but this is probably the best sign we are a serious football club again. Clubs with money wanting our players, clubs that arent Shrewsbury (no disrespect). I am quite excited by it all, to be frank.

I dont agree om Gooch going. I dont want to see Roberts go. I would have liked to watch Stewart again. But look, non of them are irreplacable, at all. So what is our incomings looking like? Lets wait and see eh.

Got to wonder on Roberts. I wonder if the club have a plan. This Southampton thing is out of the blue, but my guess it may have come up in the Stewart discussions. Maybe there is a deal to be had, and off the record conversations have set this up. If so we will have someone in mind, and maybe that somebody will be better. Maybe that somebody is currently getting close to fitness by his fireside in Manchester telling Mowbray yes, see you tomorrow. Maybe Rigg is in his ear saying I am your man. I am going to live in hope, not pessimism. Tony was spot on today, the king is dead, long live new ones.
Hi mate

Would you be interested in purchasing some magic beans

They’ve got my backing. But if only Rusyn comes in tomorrow I’ll be livid. I’m sure that won’t be the case, though. Surely, right?

Has the Roberts bid been turned down?

You're right mate, I'm just being a fanny. Need a cheeky incoming transfer pick-me-up.

Full marks for optimism, mate. But you do know that sort of attitude is frowned upon on here?
