Mowbray is on a short term contract, the recruitment team have had the opportunity to undertake a full review of managers who fit into the model.

By the way I like Mowbray.
Thats a sensible approach for the club to take, always got to keep an eye on future head coaches. Its how TM got the job with us quicklt after neil left, the recruitment team/speakman identified TM as the best person for us if Neil was to leave

Succession planning in the senior roles is vital to long term success

Relationship has been frosty since the club started looking at potential managers also the manager wanted more experience in the squad to have a go at promotion.
I think the release of potential manager targeted before the play off game was amateurish if it wasn’t meant to happen and bang out of order of it was. Of course as a fan i’m open to positive changes and Mowbray is getting on but people have to be respected and that wasn’t it. Whoever is responsible for the timing of that needs a bollocking.

Dear god.....are they really thinking about changing the manager again. When will this club ever get a period of stability. A new manager means new backroom staff, new methods, he will want his own players in etc etc etc. So we start again and if that goes tits up we change again. Mowbray has done NOTHING wrong, why the hell would they consider someone else at this stage

How many of the players who have bought into TM's philosophy will be seriously pissed off if he was to be shown the door? We'll have gone from a united ship to a disjointed one in the space of 2 months.

I hope it's all speculation and there's nothing in it. Stability has become a rarity at this club in recent years and I'd hate to see that ****ed up.

But not a possible new manager announced by an international journalist. Trailer trash PR that

He's out of contract at end of the season and there have been no noises (that I've heard) to even suggest a new deal. I fully expect a new HC will start the 2024-2025 season sadly

Yes,agree, but it surely has to be kept strictly in house....no leaks.

Neil left and Mowbray was appointed pretty much straight away because he was the contingency plan. He was also seen at games with Stuart Harvey before Neil had left so if he is unhappy that the club have spoke to other coaches he is a hypocrite.
I don’t believe he is unhappy in fact I think it’s BS. The only reason he would be unhappy is if they are expecting him to do well with half a team, which I don’t think they are so I’ll call that out as BS as well.

He’s out of contract at the end of the season anyway. Was bought in on the basis that this was our model and how we would do things. Why would the club change their long term strategy to appease a short term hire. Speakman can be painted at the baddy but I can’t imagine he cares.

But won't that depend on how we perform this season?
You'd assume so, but I think the club have plans other than Mowbray (as per my previous post about the "template")
I'd love them to give him a 3 year deal starting now, but all these reports of unrest must be coming from somewhere

Couldn’t just be his mate and he was at the match or do you think every manager who comes to watch a match with Harvey is next in line for the managers job.
