I will be 68 next month and I can't remember many times being as excited as I am for the season ahead.
On top of this, I love reading about our possible targets, most of which I have never heard of, then watching the obligatory youtube videos <laugh> Based upon these, the 2 that I am most impressed/excited by are Frigan and Aravena.
However, I have complete faith in the whole scouting/decision system that the player(s) they bring in will be up to the task.
Roll on the Ipswich game and then the Preston game on my birthday<cracker>

I think this relates mainly to the style of play and dynamism. 2009/10 was pretty decent in terms of expectations, for me. Bent, Turner, Cattermole, Cana, Campbell, Mensah, Da Silva, Hutton, Teemu etc etc. I think you're right though, as I said, because of the swashbuckling style of play. I generally struggle with us being in the champo. In my lifetime we've generally found it easy or been dreadful. I struggle to get excited by the champo. I dont see us being dreadful this year so.....

Almost certainly deluded with a selective memory, but I just dont think we belong in the champo so I literally expect us to be challenging every time. Luckily, I had a hard paper round so I don't take the downs too seriously, it's not just a game, you know that's the case when you win...but actually, it is!

Really hope Huggins can put those injuries behind him. Bet he feels he's been robbed of two years here.

He's looked brilliant when he's played. Hope he earns a new deal with us and kicks on. Even looked good against gateshead (albeit non league) in centre mid.

Or Southampton or Leicester.

bear in mind Southampton’s DoF is Jason Wilcox who ran City’s academy for years, and Leicesters manager is Enzo Maresca who was Man City’s assistant manager. Both clubs have already pounced on city youngsters this window, as have Burnley

I actually love the Championship and am not really bothered if we never get back to the premiership, I honestly believe it’s totally
s hit in there. I would change my mind if the big six pissed off.<ok>

Martyn Waghorn wouldn't be a terrible signing in my opinion. Knows the club and area, extremely experienced at this level, can play in multiple positions, hasn't scored a lot of goals recently (played mostly on the wing) but would be a good mentor for Semedo and gives us another experienced head. Would probably agree to a 1-year and wages would be comparatively cheap.

He'd be a cracking signing... for Carlisle Utd.

We have infinite more imagination in our recruitment thankfully.

....and I believe they will in the not too distant future
What would be hilarious would be if the so called big teams went and the mags were left behind, imagine the melt down in the Toon<laugh><laugh> and then the following season they still didn’t win the premiership <laugh><laugh> and had the double done over them by us <laugh><laugh><laugh>
