Akers is a bit of a worry for me. Missed loads of games last season and injured again.

Hopefully they are issues Alese will get over. I’m guessing that it’s quite common for big, athletic players to go through these sorts of phases.

Yeah that’s true, forgot about that.

I think we’re done defender wise currently. If Batth was to leave, I’d definitely be targeting a LB with the intention of moving Alese inside.

Whilst I like Callum Doyle I think if the figures have been reported correctly the 7-10 Million is over priced when you consider what we reportedly paid for Ballard who in my opinion is a better all round defender than Doyle and I believe a better prospect.

Isn’t Doyle only 19 though? Was a regular for Coventry last season and part of their very solid defence.

I think it’s a terrific signing.

He’s class on the ball but I can’t see him getting quicker and he’s slow. Too much for him I think
