A window that was really one of the haves and the have nots. United, City, Chelsea spending big again and bolstering their already bloated squads. West Ham had a decent window and Moyes was well backed.

The rest were largely rummaging round in the bargain buckets, barring Arsenal who somehow managed to spunk £140m on absolute dirt, including a comedy full back. The RS’s chickens are going to come home to roost as they go yet another window with no investment, their Sherman’s luck is about to run out imo.

Seeing us not being able to spend a bean due to looming ****e with FFP was like back to the future, 4 players for £1.6m in total lol.

Now now tobes, we just did some squad changing. We hardly spent any money

Areola, Zouma, Vlasic & Kral + a couple of kids, kept Rice (who has been going to Chelsea for 6 windows now). I'm fairly happy with that, a striker would've been nice but as our best strikers have all been converted wingers since Ashton, I'm not that bothered. Moyes looks to have muzzled Sullivan, which is a huge bonus.

Everton have been up there with the biggest spenders for a good few seasons, now. Surely they can't point the fingers at other clubs just because they've had to suddenly get their own spending in order?

4th on the list, our fans will have to ignore that to keep up the 'GSB never spend' rhetoric they're so fond of.

Who was having a pop?

Defoe - Gyan - Bent - Cisse - Welbeck - Flo - Jones.

They'll be more but that's just from the top of my head.

Give over mate I'll give you defoeand Welbeck wasn't bad but the rest are all ****e or were by the time you got them

The only attacker better the Toon have had punched a horse!

Lol Shearer was crap along with Bellamy malcolm Mcdonald, saha, asprilla, Ferdinand, beardsley, kluivert, ba, just to name a few.

If you can give me a better list from Everton or Sunderland I'll go further mate.

If there's an area we've had good players it's up top

Kluivert was **** for you.

DCL, Lukaku, Rooney, Saha, Cahill, Eto, Yakubu, Ferguson

Yeah but if Roy was including Saha and Kluivert then Everton can have Eto.
Saha for Newcastle?! On loan, played 11 games, scoring once! <laugh>
He scored four for us and he was only at Spurs for about ten minutes.
Also played for Sunderland for a similar spell and failed to score at all.
Drop him from both lists.

Do you reckon Kane will beat Shearer’s record PNP, He’s about 100 off it isn’t he?

That's an interesting one I don't know I suspect he's going to slow down over the rest of his career though just like big Al

Shearer adjusted his game when his legs went and still managed to keep it up.

Shearer had two leg breaks in his career too and his goals in the 1st division before the prem replaced it aren't in the count
