Not sure he necessarily plays in any set position.

He'd be a perfect No.9 at this stage of his career.

And he would for us too.

Agree with what you've said above, he'd not sign for City and if he is actually available we should take him on.

They were on talk sport this morning and Sam Twatterface was speaking to some foreign ITK bloke (agent of Ronnie maybe, didn't catch the name) about him joining City and the agent just replaced the word City with United and explain how it was possible.

Twatter is just like "But, but, but City and that, Pep and cash and everything" at the end.

Just **** off mate.

Its an expensive signing either way. £500k a week, at least, signing on fee, agent fees, image rights, £25m fee. Probably £100m for a 2 year deal all-in. The guy practically guarantees a PL title though, so a footballing owner would probably go for it, but not the Glazers.

Do you need a 36 yr old egotist like Ronnie at the minute though? Cavanni will fill that No.9 berth perfectly for you imo, and you’ve plenty of other options to play in that role. I don’t think he’d be the right fit for either Manc club at this point tbh.

We haven't, we've anything but. Cavani or Greenwood, that's it.

And Cavani is not going to give us 90 mins every game, even though I agree he is the perfect No.9.

Ronaldo would fill that role, and he can also play off either side.

Two years, no brainer.

With his colossal wages & Juve wanting a fee of over £20m I can’t see him coming back to these shores tbh, but the world of football is mental so who knows what’ll happen in the next few days.

It is that.

I'd have him sign for United just so he doesn't instantly join the legions of ****s out there by signing up to City.

If he goes there, he's done as a United legend.

I don’t think his age means anything tbh, in his case at least. He’s gonna be going for another 4-5 seasons I reckon.

If anybody keeps Martial out of the side that’ll do for me.

Spanish outlet AS reporting that Man City have agreed personal terms with Cristiano Ronaldo - talks now under way with Juventus.

Yeah it's looking like this could be a go-er now, surprised as I thought Ronaldo wouldn't ever agree to join them after his history with Utd.

Shame PSG couldn't go in for him, even in their mid-30s, would be great to see Messi and Ronaldo in the same side and if they could play alongside one another.

There’s a clip online of Ronnie saying how Fergie is like a father to him, when Ronnie’s dad was in a coma Fergie told him to go home and see his dad on the eve of a CL game we were due to play.

Clearly City want him and Juve want rid but I just don’t see it happening, it’s like Everton signing Suarez.

Or Rafa….<whistle>

As a United fan I'd love him back.

As a football fan I'd love to see him and Messi playing in a side together even if it meant both playing for PSG.

Ronaldo will want to be playing in the World Cup next year.

He'll make sure he's prepped and ready for it. And that means keeping himself at the top of his game.

Whoever buys him they're getting a quality signing for a couple of years and their money back with profit.

I don't believe in any of that about Ronaldo and his history with Unitedtbh. I remember Jose saying rhe same about not joining you lot but he did. This is football and most are in it for themselves.

Jose did say the reason he changed his stance was because you lot sacked him though, lol.

Ronaldo left Utd on good terms and netted them a world record fee at the time.

I don't think Ronaldo really gives a **** about the fall out from Utd fans if he signs for City. He'll see it that he gave Utd some of the best years of his career (which is still going strong) and that he's free to play for whoever he wants.

Which to be fair, he's good enough to own that claim.
