It does feel odd that whilst we were selling off some of our promising youngsters (Minteh could be one to come backto haunt us but at least we got £38m for him) Man Utd were just being let off and Chelsea seem to be on another planet entirely.
 
Looks like we're about to pay Palace £8 million for Jordan Ayew - presumably that includes add-ons - irrespective it's a bit underwhelming - seems a player that puts in a shift but has never been prolific - let's hope he surprises ... in a good way <laugh>

There's a few things behind the scenes on this one in his personal life but it seems like it's a good move all round if it goes through. Guy is still very good and likely will be for a couple of years - he's 33 but looks after himself. His attitude and professionalism in and around the club has been exemplary and I'd wish him all the best, you'd be getting a fine player.

Currently he's still better than Livramento imho but I can see why we're making the change.
