Yeah he’s a grafter for sure. Just wary of any player that age falling off a cliff.
 
In other news - some reports that we've agreed a contract with Bilal El Khanouss of Genk - 20 year old Belgian midfield 'wonder kid' - if true, more like it ... perhaps Ayew was just to distract attention <whistle>

Not necessarily.. which is why we won a Premier League title with a squad that cost half of what you paid for Gylfi Sigurdsson ... and have won **** all in the Premier League era whilst clubs like Swansea and Wigan have... on comparative shoestrings <laugh>...
 
Chiesa for £12M seems a good gamble if we can get a tune out of him, only 26 and stumbles between world class and utter **** but for that price let's see.

If he rediscovers his pre-ACL levels it'll be the bargain of the summer but feels like a pretty big 'if' at the moment.

Still a decent fee either way though, ain't gonna have your pockets burned with that amount if he is ****. We were linked earlier in the window and figures of close to £30m were being thrown about, felt too big a risk at that price and I wanted Neto anyway albeit he's a dickhead and gone Chelsea.

We just sold Bobby Clarke for £10M and over £50M for 2 others so why not.
