Here’s hoping. I’m first to admit I didn’t want him, didn’t like him, didn’t see what the hell he was going to bring to the table. Also the first to admit that a player has never changed my opinion so much in such a short space of time as him.

Thing is this link is only mentioned in every **** Liverpool fan type websites. nowhere with any substance. It’s been twisted from what actually happened (Liverpool came in for him and bailed at price and swap we demanded) to us offering him out to them.

There coming up with quotes and stuff like they were said this week when in actual fact was 3 months or so ago on an episode of the overlap. Actually really good episode and gives an insight into the kid.

Anyways if he goes he goes, will be gutted at losing him but that money would supercharge recruitment.

yeah, not reading all that. @Sucky to summarise

it’s well reported that he has a sell on clause.

Yeah it does seem likely that he does have, 10% of future figure OR 10% of profit are the numbers bandied around.

I have it on very good authority that Gordon publicly put tomato ketchup on his chips earlier today. A clear indication he'll be a Liverpool player by the end of the week.

Did you read that on paisley gays?

edit - meant to say gates but you know <laugh>

That new deal seems the key, how
Long before he is kissing the badge.

Well the Liverpool Echo say it but they talk relentless pro-Liverpool and pro-Everton ****e so I'll ignore them.

The Chronicle say it:

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...iverpool-move-newcastle-star-anthony-29444570

As do others like SSN:

https://www.skysports.com/football/...close-to-agreeing-fee-with-everton-for-winger

and more importantly, logically when selling a player like that Everton are likely to insist on one no matter the circumstances and it would also explain why we were offering a "swap" as part of the deal - if you believe any of that - as it would make the transfer fee smaller.

I see the new deal as us offering him more money to stay and ignore Liverpool and I think it will work to be honest. He's a first choice player for us and I suspect he'll stay this season (on better money) to see how we progress, he does actually seem to enjoy playing under Howe. Not having a go here but the Everton fans did all the right things to make him want to leave - and I'm not suggesting he wouldn't have left anyway and that was just a convenient excuse - but he's genuinely getting a lot of support from our fans. Going to Liverpool would be a - minor - risk, I wouldn't begrudge him though. If he is indeed a Liverpool fan then I think you've just got to accept that it's what the player wants and get the best deal you can.

There is no place for sensible opinions here mate.

I still don't see it happening.

Agree in the main. I couldn't see us selling for less than £70m and I can't see you sanctioning that kind of money for a position you have plenty of players for. They're worse but you have them.

Whats gordon on a week? over 100k then no chance were doing that.
And i take it toon will want more thwn the 50m paid fir him? againno chance

Moneyball is back lads.

Loved how money all worked on bargains like Allison, Broken Virg etc.
It’s happening, you are gonna be a Gordon cuck

I reckon based on the two sales we just made, we would expect like 80m, maybe more

Exactly. We more thsn likely have academy products we dont even know better than Gordon.

Lets not forget our under 16s won us a cup last year, Michael Edwards is back and that means what that means. (if u know u know)

Peej just doing what [HASHTAG]#Peasants[/HASHTAG] do every season in some desperate cuckold fashion or another. If its not adopting a utd signing as Thier starboy for the year its pretending that losing another homegrown yoof to a better club is somehow a benefit to them.

Thsts part of it but no

Its data driven in the main then other factors like age, character of the player, style of play, the cost/contract are all important too

Thankfully they are some of the clubs lowest earners.
And they both allowed Keita to get on the treatment 4.7% more frequently and Thiago increase his yellow card numbers by 300%
