Top 4 is only better than winning a cup for the financial side of things. Newcastle don’t need to worry about money with the owners you lot have so I’d agree with you and focus on winning a trophy first.

Top 4 and champions league football is inevitably coming to St James’ park very soon anyway.

Hard to say. He looked really good for a month at the end of last season and then started well for a few games this one but...

He's thoroughly dislikable, struggling in a struggling team, has intermittent end product and simply doesn't seem as good as he thinks he is. For 20 million or so he's worth a punt but anything over 30 feels like a risk.

That said, we're currently regularly playing people like Jacob Murphy. Gordon would clearly be an upgrade for us if even just off the bench.

Weird move. Don’t really need another winger and he didn’t really do much when he was at Bournemouth. Does this mean a late exit this window for Gil or Lucas?

If it’s for Lucas then I don’t mind but I’d like to see Spurs keep Gil

Knowing Conte he’ll just let Gil rot in stands as he’s doing with Spence.
 
So Antony Gordon to Newcastle appears to be the genuine article

Understand people's misgivings but I do think he has potential
