Looks like we could be signing Victor Kristiansen from FC Copenhagen... plats either left back or left sided centre back ... only time I've seen him was when he had Mahrez in his pocket in CL against City ... perhaps Spurs should have signed him?
Conte gets accused of the same The thing is…the one common denominator in all this is the presence of Levy He obviously doesn’t have a clue about running the football side of things. Poch, Jose and now Conte. For me the problem is this... They come to a club that talks big…want big achievements at the end of the season. Top 4 is the real goal and to take Spurs to the next logical level in their on pitch growth…Levy makes false promises and the scam is well under way. So when that’s the vision and Levy is steering it with his mindset…no way is a kid getting a look in because the manager can’t rely on him in that short time frame. The fact that the player comes good 5 years down the line doesn’t mean them gaffers were wrong imo. It means they’ve been given a meh squad and asked to achieve things with it that justifies Spurs talking like they are something they are not. That comes with short term pressure requiring short term solutions. Plus it’s human nature not to encourage something one disagrees with. These managers want proven quality…so they are not going to rely on youth because they know, like a lot of fans know…that Levy with his lack of knowledge will see it as an excuse not to invest. Chelsea spend if they think spending is required…this allows their gaffers the freedom to give youth a chance because the gaffer knows that the owner won’t see that as an excuse not to invest when/if required. When we fail…the fans come out of the woodwork with self consoling crap like ‘we punching above our weight anyway’ etc etc Its a ****ed up circle propped up by illogical loyalty to Levy/Enic. like battered wife syndrome ‘he does love me, we’re working on it, maybe I asked for it’
I think that’s a bit of a wild theory, bro, lol. Talented young players should always be given chances, whether you spend £200m in a window or £20m. Clubs have academies to essentially profit from in two ways - produce first team players and produce players to make 100% profit on. The fact bigger clubs than us with better teams have still found places for young players - Pep last night started Lewis over Walker for instance - shows that there’s no reason why we shouldn’t. Barca bring through academy players almost every season. That prime Barca side of about 8-9 years ago had about half their strongest XI made up of players that came through La Masia, even today, Pedri, Gavi, Fati are regulars, with Roberto and Busquets still around. Clubs like Dortmund primarily only buy or produce young players and have huge success from it. If a young player becomes good then it’s win-win. Manager looks like a genius for promoting a younger player and we benefit massively from it. Whereas if the young player can’t step up, it shows the manager’s tried multiple ways to address a problem and that then throws more onus on the chairman to spend money. All Conte’s currently doing is wasting talented young players whilst doing the same thing over and over again by picking the same underperforming players with no results. That’s just shoddy management.
We’re being linked with Zaniolo. He’s had two cruciate ligament injuries and about 14 other injuries (no exaggeration)… He’s only 23. Should fit in perfectly.
Kristiansen revealed that playing for a Kristiansen revealed that playing for a "top team" in the Premier League - "probably the best league in the world" - convinced him to leave Copenhagen and join City." - convinced him to leave Copenhagen and join Leicester. Imagine his surprise when he's playing in the Championship after 6 months.
