Both. The gray area is that pre-Ashley our revenues were proportionally much higher than they were at the end of his era as part of his business model was to drain them (merchandising went through Sports Direct and everyone knows about the free advertising). In his defence I'm sure it was partly in response to the fanbase turning on him but our general sponsorship went down the pan compared to average clubs. Anyone taking over our club would be able to increase our revenues by a decent margin, the issue is how much? Our owners seem to be slotting us below the "Big 6" but above the rest with the figures, though when teams like Everton and Villa renew theirs they'll likely be comparable or more. We dont seem to be sponsoring the corner flags for 50m just yet.
Would be a fantastic addition, but I'll only believe it when he's wearing the shirt. Seems an unlikely one to me, given his importance to Inter / Italy.
Highly unlikely is an understatement for me, and for the price being touted? Nah. We will end up with like, Ward-Prowse and some 12 year old from Portsmouth
Don't see why not tbh nobody would've thought Guimareas or isak would've happened when they did. 50 million is decent money and I think PIF have loaned inter alot of money.
Links to owners but been around since 1996. Events company does all the lighting and firework **** for the F1, Olympic's, world cup's etc etc. Note it's not even in the top 7 sponsorship deals in the country so moderately priced. Just our last ones have been less than what we used to get from Northern Rock before Ashley took over. There is nothing wrong with owners sponsoring teams it's just they now need to be fair market value. Think our new one is £25m a year. which is at least £15m less than Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal. On a side note. Our owners now own 4 Saudi clubs including Ronaldo's and Benzema's. There would be nothing stopping them from signing Jamal Lascelles etc for £100m a shot if they wanted to take the piss.
