so you think the players we have signed would be enough to prevent a repeat of last season?

Yes, I'm quietly confident!! At least give them a chance - something not a lot of Canaries fans are very good at if I remember how Turner and R Bennett were vilified in thier first few games last season!!!

Disclaimer - the last sentence was not aimed at you Fenland, but rather at a lot of the fans who sit near me at CR!!

Sure they will do well but obviously CH feels more firepower is needed or he wouldn't be looking at Fabio Quagliarella. I'd like us to get a good position in the top ten and I think for that we need a another striker.

It's blatantly obvious we need more attacking players/strikers. But surely all the links to
Toivonen, Quagliarella, Repooh, Ashley Barnes and negotiations still quietly rumbling on for some of them suggest that Hughton is also fully aware of this too?
He still has six weeks left to do something to address it, and I'm confident he will.

Same here. OK, some of his first choice targets don't want to come to CR, but we will just have to be patient on this one!!!!

IMO, RvW will score 15 or more goals and Fer maybe 7-8, which could be another 14-15 added to the 41 scored last year. Also, Olsson's ability to play LW as well as LB and Redmond's contribution could lead to further goals. Having said that though, we still need cover for injuries up front.

Toby Alderweireld explained to the Dutch press today why he snubbed Norwich: "Norwich are very ambitious and they are a good team. But there is a big risk that it could be a relegation zone side with relegation zone football. And I don't know if I'm suited for that kind of football. I want to compete and play for the prizes. Here at Ajax I have that security, at Norwich I wouldn't. That's why I prefer to stay here for now."

thanks cove, and a perfectly reasonable thing for the lad to think. it's down to us to prove him wrong over a period of time and i'm sure we will. <ok>

it perfectly illustrates where our club sit in the minds of players abroad and probably in this country too. it's certainly where rival fans see us! we need to keep improving and keep investing sensibly to make people sit up and notice.
