This just in from Belgian sports news organisation Sporza: Alderweireld says no to Norwich. States that his agent Søren Lerby could not come to an agreement with the club and he has now officially declined the offer from Norwich.

<ok> Yes, also on Sky Sports News. Fair enough, looking for a better deal than we could offer. Like the way Søren Lerby said explicitly that it was no reflection on NCFC's status or ambition, just couldn't match the player's expectations as regards personal terms. <ok>
 
That was just a guess. Could be any number of things, but if he wants more money and we aren't willing to pay then I guess that's that.

Time to focus on the midfield spark and a striker or 2!
 
Shame we've missed out on him, but good to see we're still sticking to our principles and not breaking our wage structure, particularly in a position we've already got good options in.

Leroy Fer looks excellent on that video, breaking up play, reversing the flow, intelligent passing, breaking forward with pace and power. Just what we need, IMO! Great signing if it does go through!
