Can someone please tell me what is meant by "a striker"? I'm desperately trying to identify the five "strikers" that Andy says Arsenal have (along with every other team in the league). Then there's Swansea: they've dispensed with Graham who I've heard described as a striker; does Michu count? And what about Liverpool? Do they really have ANY "strikers"? I gather Hooper is "a striker" (though I'm not sure), and since we are said to have two already, I imagine that may refer to RvW and Becchio. I also understand that Holty was a striker, but having 5 Holtys strikes (sorry) me as probably excessive. Is Pilkington " a striker", or Snoddy? I know that the 2 in teams that play 4:4:2 are said to be "strikers", and that the 1 in teams that play 4:2:3:1 is also said to be "the striker". But do teams playing 4:2:3:1 really need 5 of them? I really would like to know what I'm supposed to look out for when we are linked to this, that and the other player.
