Ah well, that seems to have killed off the JR move to Chelski - http://www1.skysports.com/football/...een-to-keep-John-Ruddy-following-Chelsea-link!!! Thank goodness for that.

Can't see Ruddy wanting to go there tbh and being a 2nd/3rd choice keeper. As someone said before, with the world cup coming up, He will want to be 1st choice keeper and play every single game possible.
Also with him just signing an extended contract, we have no need to sell him. (on the cheap side anyway)
Depends on JR's ambition - if he thinks he can oust Cech either this season or next then I could understand him leaving, particularly if offered a multiple of his current wage. It takes a brave and confident man to knock back a four or five year deal for (say) £50k - £60k/week when you're "only" on £20k/week.
Good thing from our point of view is that he is on a long term deal, we are cash rich and under no financial pressure to sell so if he were to go then we would be able to get top dollar for him.
All of the above being said I would much rather keep him than try to replace him even if we got £10m.

Leroy Fer's representative's have told SkySports that Newcastle United have no interest in the player. So that leaves Norwich v Everton.
Don't know if its been mentioned but Swansea have now joined the race for Tom Ince, making this Redmond deal even more likely
Redmond £3.2mi
Ince £8mil
Zaha £15mil
Who will do the best in the top flight???
Ive heard from a neighbour of mine that Redmond has passed the medical and announcement will be made around lunch tommorow.
Also, same guy said that Toivenen is very close, just a sticking point in personal terms. Not sure what? Could be bull but he has told me things in the past that have turned out to be true.

Ruddy to Chelsea - a well balanced assessment

i personally see little wesley having a big part to play still. if anything, the way we are hoping to set up (assuming we get most or all of our targets) means we'll spend far more time on the attack! the issue wes has is that he doesn't score enough goals for an attacking midfielder. his strength is his vision, which is excellent. having better players both keeping the ball and making runs, and having more pace in the side means that wes might look a better player by playing with better players around him. he won't play all the time but he didn't last season or the year before that either. i do think that he's a player who will continue to play regularly though and playing with better players will enhance his game![]()
