I've been discussing with the guy that I got the McGeady news from before it went on SSN whether we have already submitted a bid and Spartak have gone a bit public in an attempt to drive the price up. Naughty.

I´ve never met him, Super, and I dare say, neither have you, but he´s certainly talking and acting like a prima donna, which is why I only accused him of sounding like one, and not actually being one. Still would rather he went and threw his toys out of his pram somewhere else, even if they are gold-plated. ;)

Doesn't matter if he's a prima donna or not, do we want someone at the club who doesn't want to be there?, their match performance would be terrible.

of course i've never met him, but to label someone as being, or in your case sounding, like a prima donna based on a couple of snippets from a translated journalistic piece in which the player was put on the spot and asked about a club he knew little if not nothing about is a bit wrong, is it not? he has never bad-mouthed our football club as some are suggesting! i quite agree that if a player doesn't want to be here then we shouldn't sign them but equally, plenty of people have decided they know his personality because he didn't make the right noises from the start and therefore he's a bad egg - what drivel.

Terrible sources not even worth mentioning, but Toivonen is being linked with WBA now.

grant holt was a 'bit of a dick'. should we not have bothered with him? as far as i'm aware, toivonen is similar to holt in reputation. he is hated amongst fans of other clubs but loved by most psv fans. rubs people up the wrong way sometimes, a bit of a tough bastard on the pitch. every team needs someone like that. it's this statement from some of our fans that he's been bad-mouthing our club which really grates as it's completely made up, never happened. people take things the wrong way.

My comment was that we want players to come here for the challeng of improving both themselves and the club, not those after the finshed article. Not sure whether that was tainting him or not?

i probably sound like i'm getting a bit annoyed with everyone! i'm only annoyed with those who have dreamed up this story that he's been bad mouthing the club. i totally agree that if a player doesn't want to join, for whatever reason - not a big enough club, wife doesn't want to move, too many tractors blocking the roads - then we shouldn't take that matter any further and now we know toivonen is not up for the move we can move on, as i'm sure hughton already has.

I would like Toivonen here and you cant blame anyone for taking time to consider their next career movement. We shouldnt also feel that this sort of player is going to immediately want to join us. Signing better players will make it more easier to continue to sign them but currently apart from RVW and Hopefully fer we havent got many 'big' names that are going to entice others.

Also, if we arent going to sign Toivonen, Alderwerield and Hooper do we have other realistic targets that people would like to see us go for?

I have never seen so much activity in the Dutch leagues of there players heading to the BPL. Are we missing a trick by not looking at the portugese league some more? I know little or nothing about it.....

Dear Mr. Superman, you are sometimes a bit quick to annihilate anyone who happens to have a different opinion to yourself :( Speaking for myself, I never said he was bad mouthing the club, but if he´s been quoted correctly, then I´d say he doesn´t exactly sound the sort that would immediately fit into the group we have at the moment. Just my opinion. :)

NO we can't: anyone who thinks Toivonen a) is wanted/not wanted, b) bad mouthed the club/said lovely things about Norwich etc etc is a fecking complete and utter decent fella
