  1. If you've played four games less then you're entitled to argue you've won anyway IMO <ok>

Even though you're joking that still looks scary <yikes>

  5. If rumours were to be believed, we'd be playing a 0-6-4 formation next season too...<doh>

That ('beard face') stumped me for a little while. You mean Alonso, I presume? Can't see him leaving Real for us, matey. I'd love it, but it's not likely, is it?

Anyone else feel we should put a good offer in for Man City's Dr. Sheldon Cooper? Would give us a tricky winger for the first time since Macca left.

  8. I'd love Alonso to come back to Liverpool but not only his he too old for FSG to sign him, he'd be a lost sheep it the current squad too <ok>

  9. Just don't sign De Jong AND Alonso...<whistle>

  10. Ah, no doubt it could work, we'd just have to disconnect De Jong's boot from Xabi Alonso's chest...<ok>

Edit: assuming Gerrard plays in the hole, who out of De Jong, Alonso and Lucas misses out? Well, that should probably read which of De Jong or Lucas plays alongside Alonso...<whistle>

I'd take De Jong, he's a good player. Agree that De Jong / Alonso would be great pair. Still unlikely, unfortunately. :(

  12. De Jong's a little old (27, turns 28 in November) for FSG too <ok>

Yeah, true. We also seem to be linked with a lot of less well known, younger players. Perhaps we're trying to emulate Newcastle?

  15. Baz is claiming (via his source/sauce) it is a done deal, I however suspect he is having a punt at a 50:50 in trying to convince people he has a sauce/source...<whistle>

Yep... Could be ITK stuff, not necessarily Baz's fault if he's wrong, his friend could be full of it.

On quite a few sites the rumours are now swinging towards LFC getting their man.

It could be because his father said yesterday that Sig just wanted wages that matched the average of the club he signed for.

A good goal return in half a season of premier league football? Think our going rate is about £70k a week isn't it? Or does Gylfi get the £27mil we saved on the transfer fee as well!

Will Juventus and AC Milan become interested in a never ending loan deal?

Hope this doesn't dent or chances of getting Gaston Ramirez. He does and can play on the wing at times, so we shall see

    I don't think it would.

Assuming we play a 4-3-3 in the vein of Swansea, GS, if signed, would play as the middle of the three. Ramirez the 'David Silva' position (as seen at the Euros).
