I missed the Jobe debate last week. For me, the pace we press and counter at isn’t his game. I’d prefer more depth with the same qualities. I’d also want a step in for Xhaka in case he misses a few games. It isn’t Jobe.

I’ve been saying, for two seasons, that Hume will become our captain and midfield centre. I’ve taken some stick but he’s maturing rapidly as he showed for NI recently where he edged towards both roles.

Now he has a personal coach, in the form of Xhaka, I think his progression will accelerate. At Chelsea, in a very high profile game, he was sauntering inside, disrupting the Chelsea midfield and operating well with Xhaka who played further forward.

Hume is ridiculously cool for a kid from Ballymena, so laid back in his interviews and totally unafraid …

… of all the bargains we've picked up I’d put him at the very top.

Was trying to look for some cheaper options that add some height to our midfield, really intrigued by Silas Andersen - was unbelievable in their first game of the season I watched and seems to have kept up that form since.

Silas Andersen
- 6'4''
- 20 years old
- Playing in the Allsvenskan for Hacken (Sweden)
- Signed in January for €1,000,000
- Last game won 8 tackles and completed 100 passes
- Also won 17 duels / 26 attempted - Insanity.

- Pretty slim so probably needs some bulking up but his size allows him to protect the ball
- A bit gangly
- Allsvenskan isn't necessarily an unreal standard (yet a hotbed of talent) and struggled to break into a decent Utrecht team

- Has good pedigree having been scouted and signed by Inter Milan as a 16 year old.
- Long legs seem to allow him to reach everything that gets close to him

Just someone I want to keep an eye on heading into the summer because if he can keep up this impressive run there will certainly be teams watching.

Attached is over half an hour of footage from the first game of this season:

Already prem interest, i'd still be up for it but someone a bit quicker off the mark to cover for sadiki would be a january preference.

I’d like the up and coming Xhaka just in case of injury and a better second left back. You may be right on the extra midfielder though Diarra’s back in a month and a bit.
