I think Alderete being first choice LCB means the club aren’t pushing massively for Lucumi, think the club would be happy bringing in this Dutch defender and be done at the defence. Likes of Alese & O’Nien can be emergency back up too.

We simply don’t need to spunk £30m in Alderete position. The lad has been a revelation.

I loved the look of him and Nordi, and we all know what big Dan brings.

Most sides play without a left footed CB, so we don’t need blow the budget to have 2.

We have 2 PL loans available now too, and the unspent Lucumi wedge.

Tell you who I’ve been most impressed by. Reinildo.

Penalty concession aside, he’s been excellent at LB for us. So athletic and quick.

Reminds me of when we had Danny Rose on loan. Mad to think he’s a free transfer.

You have to love Reineldo mate.

Not just for being a smashing player, but his determination and demeanour is infectious.

Looks like another ‘great character’ and we have lots of those.

We 3 games in, it’s hasn’t been perfect but it’s been great, we have 6 points and we’ve won from behind.

Diarra hasn’t quite fired yet, but you can see he isn’t short, he will be a beast.

That’s some hir rate this early in the season, this break is perfect timing to glue it a bit more.

I’m torn between Roefs and Omar for the biggest steal at this stages. £20m the pair? Wow.

I was saying the same to my about Diarra but unsure if I’m just being harsh because of his fee. Thought Sadiki has looked the better of the pair so far. Alderete probably edging it so far, was on the pitch about 30 seconds before doing a cruyff turn (or something alike can’t really remember) and sending a West Ham midfielder for a hot dog. Looks like a midfielder on the ball at times.

Really impressed with the physicality we have now

Diarra on the ball not shining yet but off the ball immense sprinted the whole game, couple of times hassled their cbs off the pitch like a sumo wrestler

Diarra has still impressed me mind. Throughout the Brentford game he was constantly pressing the opposition. Didn’t give them a moment’s peace. Exactly the type of off the ball workrate our fans respond well to.

So,if we assume Guiu has gone back to the complete mess at Chelsea....and we have Brobbey and Gertrude in our sights...although not done yet......Fantastic window for us!!
