Thought Mukiele looked very much like a RB yesterday. He’s spent so little time at CB in a back four. Very different role being one of the outside CBs in a three.
I actually think he’ll be better at centre half in time. Doesn’t look very good with ball at feet. But he was never intended to be the starter if we’re all honest. Let’s hope he blossoms. Yesterday was a good start tbf.

If you were there you would of seen he was outstanding ! He won the majority of his duals and his pass rate was second to none, what a player we have on our hands !

RB - Hume and Geertruida
RCB - Mukiele and Ballard
LCB - Alderete and Seelt and O’Nien
LB - Reinildo and Masuaku

I’m happy with that

forgot about Cirkin mind. God knows what happens there
I can’t see Mukiele being happy being behind Lucumi and Alderete, he looks good enough to be first choice. I think this is a better way to go about sorting defensive depth (no idea if this lads any good like)

I think that’s how the club will be looking at it, mate. They like versatile players and we now have every defensive position more than covered.

Not too mention that he was up against a right handful of a centre forward, strong, physical, good in the air and with his feet ….he matched him on the day, great start from the lad was MoM for me

It’s a good point, soft power and diplomacy can be vital in our position as a club. The ‘**** ‘em’ sentiment is all well and good but we’ll only be harming ourselves in the long term.

A lot were frustrated with what we did with Danns but what transpired will have done l our relationship with Liverpool no harm at all and we have scope to reap the rewards from that relationship in the future.
You’re right about Liverpool. They’re going to lend us Isaac for the year:biggrin:

Joking.
