As I once said to cyprus sid I went to every one of their home fairs cup games. No affinity just the chance to see foreign teams and players and it was free entry thanks to my elder brother. Alse went to see them play Tottenham so I could see Jimmy Greaves and Pat Jennings two of my favourite players at the time

Yep,it was all about the football.....watching these great players....and hoping that our NE teams could get ahead of Man U and Spurs....who were the very best at that time....Liverpool were but a spot on Bill Shankly's nose.
