I think we might look at the CM market.

We have quality in there for sure, but it’s not obvious that they all combine well.

Uche or Gallagher would be magic.
Young lad from lorient wouldn’t shock me if Neil was to go, yet again name escapes me

We have a new team, they had the basis of a settled one.

They defended deep.

We will grow into the season, they are pretty much ‘as they will be’.

Was a blip. We over it.
We looked new for their first. 3 players near the ball, two of theirs stood alone waiting to shoot from inside the box.

I'm expecting 3 or 4 more as at the moment the team that will face Brighton, Leeds, Man City, Tottenham, Brentford and Palace will be Roefs, Hume, Alderete, Lucemi (assuming he signs) Cirkin (if fit) Neil (if he signs new deal) Le Fee, Rigg, Roberts, Mundle (if fit) Mayenda.

If Neil doesn't sign a new deal, currently Alan Browne will play those fixtures, or Harrison Jones if we play Rigg deeper.

Don't get me wrong, we've had a great window, but that side gets at most 3 or 4 points from those fixtures.
Xhaka doesn’t go to AFCON mate so he will be in there. Then a new winger should be playing too you’d imagine.

For all the improvements, we still fell short against Burnley, a team expecting to struggle. Imagine what teams better than Burnley will do to us without our African players during AFCON. Massive week ahead for me.

small margins, first goal always wins that game on Saturday we didn’t take our opportunities, they did.

well done to them but there was nowt in it really.

Exactly so. The early miss from Eli, which will make it onto those youtube blooper clips, for me would have seen us win, and possibly by another goal. Really, they showed nowt in the first half at all, but fair play to them for flying out of the traps after half time, something we didn't do.

We too are expected to struggle. Take into context the results from the last 2 weeks. Burnley lose the first away at Spurs 3-0, the same Spurs who then go to City and win 2-0 away ...... all of a sudden the Burnley result dosen't look too bad. We win our first game 3-0 at home and it looks good, till you see West Hams next result is a 1-5 result at home to Chelsea. To me that means we are going to struggle

Maino needs a way out of United

He'll get one.

Amorim is either blind, knows nothing about football at all or is being leaned on to sell him. He obviously isn't blind and knows a lot more than us about football. But this man will play Ugarte, (the only timid footballer ever to emerge from South America- and Uruguay at that!) instead of Mainoo. Mrs Rowley wouldn't do that.

Struggle was always an absolute certainty in my book, and I'm fine with it.

Even in the three years since all teams promoted remained in the PL, the league has consolidated itself into a solid 17. Only West Ham and Wolves look really wobbly to me, as they are poorly run now, especially the former. Wolves IMO have a better squad than us.

It is a huge task, but it isn't impossible by any means.
