Chelsea have so many players it is frankly obscene. Players treated like assets not footballers it seems to me. Buy them loan them sell them. Veiga bought last season for £12m now trying to flog him for £30m. 6 prem sub appearances then loaned out. This sort of model should be stopped to be honest. It is another unintended side effect of PSR that has turned footy inside out.

Wouldn’t be so bad if they signed them to play them not just sell them.

I know this is greedy but I would like Lucumi and two versatile attackers. One high profile and able to start games ASAP, and another with a really high ceiling that we can develop.

lucumi, Bakwa, Adam Daghim.

I’ll be absolutely buzzing if we just sign Lucumi. Never heard of him until we were linked but the more I read, the more I thought he was way out of our league. This window has just blown me away, never know anything like it in 50 years of following the lads.

I keep remembering what an Italian guy on another forum I visit said to me. “No offence but why would Lucumi join Sunderland when champions league sides would want him?”

To be fair to the lad, it was a fair question! It still is, but there's not that much you'd rule out this summer.

We will look to be doing the same in the future I’ve no doubt.

yeh my point is purely he’s clearly so highly rated it seems ridiculous. So those of us who’d never heard of him can have some context as to how big a coup it would be
