I think that this may be part of the plan anyway - we've now got a number of players we've paid c£20m for who, if we have a half decent season and comfortably stay up, we will be getting bids of £50m+ for come next summer from CL outfits and just as we have with Clark and Jobe we would probably do the honourable thing and let them move on whilst raking in a tidy profit
Yeah I expect we will. I’d hate us to have to chase a deal due to overextension, though!

For what it’s worth Fatawu at that price would of course be a gamble and a punt. But I think our recruitment team have earned the right to make a punt.

He could be a £90m player in 2 years
We will need to beat our tfr record to get him mate. I think anyway. I would be very surprised if he doesnt go for more than £35m base.

Mind I have to be a bit careful about taking the piss out of the Mags being baited into £60m for Wissa with a year left, if we’re being baited into £25m for Lucumi in a similar situation. Hopefully a bit of time being quiet is making Bologna a bit more realistic on their asking price.

We'll not pay 25M for him. That was his buyout clause and nobody offered it, so he will be sold for less.

I rate the **** out of Fatawu, was one of those I mentioned early in window.

He is very good, very direct and LEFT FOOTED.
I really like him, rapid and love how he dribbles with the ball - could be an unreal player if he develops

It'll come down to the fee but def feels the type of winger we go for him

Him and Lucumi sign and I'd be buzzing with our activity

Then just need to trim the squad by selling or loaning players at

2 full seasons with us and his breakout season with Birmingham in the championship by the age of 19 though. Fatawu is 2 years older and has played about half the games of Jobe

True, although forward players normally cost a little bit more - but I see your point

Them 2 mate and I’m absolutely delighted and 100% certain we stay up.

The fee is definitely high and id be wary about not going too high but this guys upside is still really high

Looked class in the PL last season before his injury and has all the raw attributes you'd want in a winger - runs all day and is RAPID

Just feel RLB would turn him into a star for us

His upside is at the very least Madueke level. I’d argue he has a bit more skill/flair than Noni.

He went north of 50.

Just think it’s a lot of money for a championship winger. Could have the potential don’t get me wrong, could be brilliant. But what people have seen of him was playing for the best team in the league by a mile. Leipzig signed Bakayoko for half of that. 35m isn’t “take a chance” of kind of money, it’s you better come in and set the league alight for us kind of money.

So, my earliest memories are the 1985 milk cup run. Then the disappointing (familiar) drop into the old Division 3. Dennis Smith and the G Force compound my love for the club and the next 2/3 seasons I followed home and away until I moved out of the area.

I don't have to provide further history of the club to you all. Plenty of ups and downs but my point is, you have had to experienced the past 8 years to truly appreciate how good this transfer window has been.

Truly remarkable. I love this club.
