I genuinely don't know how much we are going to spend. I know that the Jobe and Watson fee covers virtually all of the amortization for the first year so we could probably get to about 200m Euros. Honestly feels like we will get there

I think to save Mayenda one it takes an absolute world class save.

The balls come in and he’s rightly moved to cover the wider goal, it’s right back into the corner netting with an awkward line of travel.

I think that’s incredibly difficult to save.

Neither header was world class but the keeper had three centre backs, for that reason, and can reasonably expect better cover in my opinion …

… their problem was that both crosses were fired in early with pace.

It’s the old Nicky Summerbee and Allan Johnston theory of football …

… why bother running with the ball and beating defenders when you can just fling it onto someone’s head.

I said, before the game, I don’t think we’ll see a ‘style of attacking’ or a star striker, more likely a spread of scorers and all kinds of goals from crosses/breaks/dead balls etc.

Lucimi and a winger in and that is genuinely a perfect window. As in we would be strong in every area of the pitch. I'm content on strikers as I think there's no value there and we have 3 at the club already who can step up.

Lucumi and a RW is genuinely a 10/10 window
I'll concede it's probably at least a 9/10 currently though

I guess during AFCON would just play defenders :D Love this so much.

As I said the other day, no problem for me having two left footers playing centre back, as long as one is comfortable playing on the right.

Potential AFCON 11

Roefs
Mukiele - Ballard - Lucumi - Hume/Alderete
Xhaka
Neil/Rigg Le Fee
RW Mayenda Mundle

It's not as strong as our main 11 but it's still definitely competitive

Disagree marra.....Ballard's header was top drawer!
He had to get his neck on that to power it.
Brilliant!
